Couples watching the Eiffel Tower.

Paris, France.

Having been in Paris for the first time by night back in December 2009, one of the must do was to visit the Trocadero and take picture of the Eiffel Tower from it... What i somewhat naively was sure on such a cold night that there wouldn't be that many tourists there.. I was wrong, which made getting a clean shot difficult! Instead i focused my attention on the tourists viewing the Eiffel Tower and the above shot is one of the results from that idea!

Champs-Élysées, Paris, France.

This was one of those shots, when at the time i knew i wanted, but once i brought it onto my machine i had a different opinion on it! The color version just didn't really hit me like i had hoped it would and i just converted it to B&W as more of an experiment than anything else! I quite like it in B&W...

I am currently work on some projects via Final Cut Pro that i will be uploading to Flickr and Youtube HD based on my most recent photography!

Also, Apple have released Aperture 3 and i think finally they have a Lightroom killer on their hands and thats coming from a Lightroom user via Mac!

Havana, Cuba.

I'm currently thinking about making a return to Cuba, I really do feel like I'm not finished with place and a part of me wants to return!! I think tho, next time I return, I will concentrate my efforts solely on Havana and really try to explore every aspect of it!

Again, carrying on from my last post.. One of the places i thoroughly enjoyed shooting by night was Pigalle in Paris. And for all the reasons i love night street photography, the neons lights, the reflections... Great place for it!

It's been a short while since i last updated this blog, motivation to do so can be quite low at times..

Lately, i've been doing alot of night time street photography, it's my preferred type, especially in wet conditions due to the color reflections off the ground. Iit' also to do with when i actually get time to go out and photograph.. Because of this, i buy "fast" lens, lens with an aperture of either f1.4 or f2.8, the larger the number (ie, f1.2, f1.4, f2.8 large F numbers, f22 small F number) the larger the hole in the lens to leave more light in, hence faster shutter speed and very shallow depth of field, which can be a downside to some, whereas i love it..
